4 Installing User Software on a Windows Computer

9. In the Available ports box, select the LPT1 port and click Next.

You will conﬁgure the port later, according to your network type.

10. Using a maximum of 31 characters, enter a name for the Fiery (or leave the default

name) in the Printer Name box.

This name will be used in the Printers and queue windows.

NOTE: Entering more than 31 characters may cause printing problems with some

network applications.

11. If you want the Fiery to be the default printer, select Yes; if not, select No.

Click Next (Windows 98 only).

12. Select No to printing the test page and click Next (Windows 95) or Finish

(Windows 98).

The necessary ﬁles are installed to your hard disk. When installation is complete, you

will need to conﬁgure the options installed on your copier.
